Transportation Options & Alta Map
We definitely recommend that folks rent a car to get around, particularly if you will be staying at the
Goldminer's Daughter. The lodge is technically not open in the summer and therefore does not have an open
restaurant. So you'll need to go to Snowbird or down the canyon to eat aside from the group activities we'll have.
If you are staying in a condo, you'll probably want to go to one of the supermarkets to stock up.
And hey, how often are you in Salt Lake City? A rental car is a great way to get around and
see the sites.
If you really don't want to rent a car, there are shuttles that can take you from the airport to where you need to go.
The only transportation we will be providing will be a shuttle from the Goldminer's parking lot to Alf's the
morning of the ceremony as well as back down after the ceremony.
- Avis Car Rental - We got a group rate from Avis for the Wedding. You can book online with Coupon Code: J868803 or call 800-331-1600. A mid size car (Pontiac Grand Am equivalent) should cost about $110 for 3 day rental unlimited mileage.
- Canyon Transportation - Offers shuttle service to and from the airport to Alta.
The Town of Alta is only about 1.5 Miles long
